Wouldn’t it be practical if guests would be able to book their personal arrival with the train additionally to mountain railway tickets, lodging and other services? Tailored to personal needs, everything in one shopping basket and only one-time checkout. With Peaksolution that is possible!

The Swiss federal railways (SBB) have decided during their project “Sanierung Vertriebssystem”, to cooperate exclusively with Peaksolution for the development of the new business to partner interface (B2P V3.0). Peaksolution will be the first to implement the new interface and give the SBB valuable feedback and therefore decisively support the development. In return Peaksolution benefits by being the first service provider to be able to give the customers access to this new SBB service. The implementation will be carried out during the year 2017 and represents a win-win situation for all involved parties, especially the end customer.

In addition, all Swiss transport corporations, inclusive mountain railways, have the option to market public transport tickets to very attractive conditions on their portals through Peaksolution. Therefore, we have reached a substantial milestone: the travel to and from the slopes is seamlessly integrated via the SBB. This influences the customer journey positively, it’s a perfect service for the guest and one more reason to book in your one-stop-shop. The guest has no longer to stand the irritating search and the booking on several sites, he can do everything comfortable online with you. Of course, also better packages can be finalised and marketed.

Seat reservation like on the airplane: this functionality was desired by the Matterhorn-Gotthardbahn for the famous “Glacier Express”, which connects Zermatt and St. Moritz. Thereby, guests can reserve their favourite seat stress-free in advance to get the best possible view and enjoy the beautiful scenery from Valais to Grisons.

The technical challenge was, beside the complete relaunch of the website und the build-up of the sales solution, that there was no comparable system for trains in Switzerland. The adjustments of this project led to a direct increase in turnover.

There are already additional steps for the development of the solution planned. Customers will not only be able to book train tickets of the Glaciar Express, but also suitable amenities like hotels or ski passes alongside the railway track. More at

The Jungfraubahn, which belongs to one of the most famous mountain railways in the Alps, relies on Peaksolution already for many years. At the beginning of 2016 the decision was made to relaunch the website and the shop, which should move in the focus of their internet appearance even more.

Sales processes for train billets, packages, ski passes, lodging, ski rental etc. were revised and of course responsively implemented. Similarly, the usability and the design was improved with the assistance of knowledge from e-commerce tracking, to boost the conversion rate of the shop even more. The Jungfraubahn draws on the plentiful resources of Peaksolution and is marketing all the offers online on the shop. Within the first few weeks an increase in sales was achieved, particularly through the enhanced display on smartphones.

At the renowned Swiss winter sport centre Saas-Fee a daily ticket normally costs 72 Swiss francs (equivalent to 67 Euro). Winter sport fans had the chance to register for six weeks via a crowdfunding platform for a season card for just 222 francs (205 Euro).

Until November 27th 2016 over 90.000 interested people had already bought a ticket on the platform Overall 24 Mio Euro were generated before the season start.

Technical implementation by Peaksolution

Peaksolution worked with associate company Skiline already with the Saastal tourism successfully for some years. Saas-Fee set on the part of Skiline on numerous attractions including the Adrenalin Cup. Likewise, Saas-Fee distributed lodging and ski passes through Peaksolution. Therefore, it seemed obvious to entrust Peaksolution with the technical implementation of this innovative concept. The aim was to bring tourists back to the region, to make the ski vacation an experience and achieve a value increase for the region.

Up to 1 Million sales volume per day

The website demonstrated Peaksolutions competence to carry out projects with an enormously high traffic. A sales volume of up to 1 Million was generated per day. Per hour a maximum of 10.000 users were on the site, which responded with good performance at any time. is based on the proven and tested technology of Peaksolution, whereby the gained experience is fed in the shops of our customers. Besides an intelligent newsletter system, E-commerce tracking was applied to monitor the sales.

For the Swiss winter tourism, that was fighting with regressive numbers in the last years, this measure was an important sign. In addition, the whole region profited of the media offensive and the added value of the newly won guests. Due to the great success of the campaign it was extended until December 24th 2016.

And another project going live: The Toggenburg cable car company launched their new website with Peaksolution for their ecommerce needs.
